The first of the mangoes have come into the stores, and we are definately making the most of it.
These babies are low in fat, packed full of fibre, potassium and antioxidants such as beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a protector against cell damage and disease and helps cells repair. Chok-a-block full of Vitamin C for a healthy immune system and it also helps us absorb iron. Mangoes also contain Vitamins A and E which are also powerful anti oxidants. A apple mango a day keeps the doctor away!
Natural yoghurt contains protein and calcium, as well as good bacteria such as lacto bacilli essential for maintaing a healthy gastro intestinal system. Smoothie
Recipe
- Flesh of 1 mango
- 1 cup natural yoghurt
- 1 cup your choice of milk
- Honey to taste
- Ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Blend all ingredients and enjoy
